A 59 year old woman from Fairfax died Saturday afternoon in a two vehicle crash near Herrick.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety reported the 40 year old male driver of a pickup truck from Herrick was traveling northbound on 350 Avenue and collided with a southbound small SUV at the create of a hill. The driver of the pick up was uninjured while the driver of the SUV sustained fatal injuries. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
The names of those involved are being withheld until family members are notified.
