Central Electric added to the recent James Valley Drug and DUI Court graduation by presenting a $1,000 Operation Round-Up grant. The funds will assist the treatment program participants with housing, utility deposits and other necessities.
Sharon Kraft is the First Circuit Treatment Court Coordinator. “We really like to be able to help them out, especially when they first start out in the program,” said Kraft. “A lot of them don’t have the needs that they need when they are housing, just basically those basic housing needs.”
James Valley Drug and DUI Court currently has twelve active participants with more individuals on a waiting list.
Operation Round-Up is powered by Central Electric members who voluntarily round up their monthly electric bills to the nearest dollar.
