POET Bioprocessing – Mitchell awarded grants totaling $4,000 to two local organizations. The funds were donated through POET’s 2025 Community Impact Grant Program, which awards grants to a variety of causes throughout the more than 30 communities in which the company operates.
The Weekend Snack Program received $3,000 to add larger meal packs containing healthy food. These packs will be sent home over long weekends to students whose families experience food insecurity.
Embracing Change Counseling Services, LLC was awarded $1,000 to cover the cost of free therapy sessions and retreats for area farmers and their families.
“Giving back to our home communities is core to POET’s culture,” said Kelly Kjelden, General Manager of POET Bioprocessing – Mitchell. “These grants support organizations providing critical services to our students, families, and community as a whole, and we’re proud to support their work.”
Through POET’s annual Community Impact Grant Program, individuals and organizations are invited to apply for funding for projects aimed at changing their community for the better. The next grant cycle will open in the spring of 2026.
