A major rural water pipeline project with the Randall Community Water District coming to Davison County is poised to begin.
Kyle Peters of A-1 Development Solutions updated county commissioners during Tuesday’s meeting. “By and large, all the landowner easements have been acquired,” said Peters. “And construction’s going to be starting here in the springtime.”
The waterline will bring a second source of Missouri River water to Mitchell. “The route stretches from the tower, that would be south of Stickney…kind of follows 281 to the north,” Peters continued. “Till you get to 256th Street…and it kind of runs all the way to Mitchell from that 256 area.”
He says overall construction should be finished by the summer of 2027. “This is going to be a huge project that’s going to benefit Mitchell for generations to come,” Peters said.
Hausmann Construction is the primary contractor.
