Mitchell Area Housing Incorporated hosted a ribbon-cutting and open-house Thursday at its Ridgeview on Foster development on Mitchell’s eastside.
Mitchell native Adam Kaemingk, representing Senator Mike Rounds led off. “These are the types of things that the Senator is focused on,” said Kaemingk. “And one of his priorities is housing.”
MAHI president Terry Sabers called Ridgeview on Foster a team effort. “Between us, the city, the county, the feds, and the state, you know, did their HIF grant,” Sabers said. “And so all of that has helped us to produce homes that we can sell for under $300,000.”

Sabers has received numerous inquiries regarding the development that’s located on land donated by Avera Queen of Peace. A variety of housing options are available.
