Work is progressing at two housing developments in Mitchell. Mitchell Area Housing Incorporated president Terry Sabers says street work is underway at both Ridgeview on Foster and South Lake. “We got the contractors back there,” said Sabers. “They’re putting the gravel down in the next two weeks, curb and gutter will go in.” He said hopefully by the end of July they’ll have streets in. “We need to get them in so we can start digging basements,” Sabers said.
There are already two “Governors” homes at South Lake. And Sabers is getting separate inquiries. “And of course they all want to see what it looks like with the streets,” he said. “We have about nine lots on the east end that would make a great spot for homes and they’ve got a sliver view of the lake.”
Sabers says if the weather provides, the streets should be ready to go around early August at both developments.
