Senator Mike Rounds explains the race to develop artificial intelligence

It’s a race we can’t afford to lose. That’s Senator Mike Rounds view of developing the use of artificial intelligence. “And so this is not going to go away, and we’ve got to be in a position to compete with the rest of the world,” said Rounds. “Today we have that capability.”

He says A-I is an amazing tool when used properly. “It looks through a huge amount of data,” said Rounds. “It can answer your questions, but it also can do research in such a fashion that what used to take a laboratory perhaps 200 years to do, can be done in using artificial intelligence in a matter of milliseconds.”

However, Rounds sees Communist China as a major competitor in the A-I race. He shared that information during the Heartland Summit held earlier this week in Mitchell.
