Sioux Falls Police have arrested a man on a list of charges, including aggravated assault, threatening a law officer and parole violations.
40-year old Mark Running is accused of stabbing a man early Monday morning.
The incident was witnessed by a person who was passing by, who said the suspect got into a jeep and left the scene. That jeep later returned to the scene, where police confronted the suspect.
Police information Office Aaron Benson says Running was pepper sprayed when he refused to get out of the vehicle. “He continued to refuse commands and started to walk away from the scene before he was eventually tased by officers and placed under arrest,” said Benson. While searching the suspect officers did locate a blood-covered knife in his pocket as well.”
The victim was stabbed once beneath his chin, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
