The South Dakota Department of Corrections reported Sunday evening state prison offender Philip Campling has died of apparent natural causes.
The 73 year old Campling fell ill at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield on June 28th. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he died.
At the time of his death, Campling was serving multiple sentences from Yankton County for possession of child pornography.
