Mitchell Technical College has announced Theresa Kriese has verbally accepted the position of President, pending formal approval by the Mitchell School Board. Kriese would become the sixth President of the institution since opening in 1968.
Kriese brings a wealth of experience in higher education administration to MTC. Her previous roles include Executive Vice President/CFO, Interim President and Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President for Business and Advancement at Dakota Wesleyan University. She also has prior experience with Mitchell Technical College, having served as Vice President for Administrative Services and her current role as interim president. Her extensive background in financial management, strategic planning, and fostering strong community relationships will be invaluable to MTC’s continued success.

The Mitchell School Board is expected to consider Childs’s recommendation on Kriese’s appointment at its next regularly scheduled meeting—Monday, April 28.
