A family-owned hardware has been named the 2025 All Star for South Dakota by HBS Dealer Magazine. Thune True Value Hardware and Appliance Center has been serving Mitchell and the surrounding area for more than 90 years.
Co-owner Jennifer Cooper had no idea Thune’s was even in the running.
“We ended up getting a phone call saying congratulations from our rep that we were nominated and we received the award and then we had a big press release that went out in the True Value Hardware line magazine,” said Cooper.
The award is based on its service to Thune’s customers and the community. “Every single employee that we have is very good,” Cooper said. “People oriented.” They want to make sure the customer is happy, that they become their friends, that we get to know you, that we listen to you and your needs,” she said.
Cooper says they’re looking forward to updating their appliance line and of course, continuing with their outstanding customer service.
