The Mitchell City Council spent nearly an hour Monday discussing ideas on possible land sales around Lake Mitchell.
The early part of the discussion centered on the steps needed to put the designated lots up for sale and whether it could go to a public vote because of its designation as parkland. Plus one parcel has encroachment of a pool installed by a neighbor. City Attorney Justin Johnson offered a couple of alternatives….
Councilor Jeff Smith wanted to bring the idea of lake land sales before the public…..
Mitchell resident Joan Lubben and two others spoke against platting the land….
It’s anticipated others will address the issue during the next city council meeting during citizen’s input.
