A combination farm and agricultural research organization shared its story during Value-Added Day at the South Dakota State Fair. Christina Lind says Blue Dasher Farm is a diverse operation. “Some of our primary products are sheep, so we raise hair sheep, they’re meat…we have about 150 right now,” said Lind. “And then we have bees, so we’re beekeepers.”
She also has a growing cut flower business that she’s been doing the last few years.
Lind loves the honeybees. “Delicious honey, and we love, you know, even sometimes to just go and listen to the bees and open the box and listen to them,” Lind continued. “Just learning their behavior has been fascinating.”
She says it’s been a gorgeous year at the farm which is located near Estelline along I-29.
