The 53rd Annual Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Week began Tuesday with the community kickoff at the new Arena at Stampede Park. Committee Chairman Jim Miskimins is thrilled to be at this point….
He also credits community support….
Miskimins says the Arena is 25-percent larger than the old one with a bleacher seating capacity of around 4,000.
Meanwhile, Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo continued its tradition of recognizing individuals and organizations associated with the annual greatest show on dirt during Tuesday’s community kick off at the Arena at Stampede Park.
This year the tradition of window decorating returned, and the judges selected Cor-Trust Bank North for the best decorated window.
The Palace City Lion’s Club was named this year’s Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Parade Marshal.
Long-time committee member Dave Emmert was inducted as the newest member of the Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo Hall-of-Fame…..
