Woman sentenced for assaulting a Federal Officer

A 29 year old woman from McLaughlin was sentenced recently for assaulting, resisting and impeding a Federal Officer.

Tiauna Mirage Crow Ghost was sentenced to 13 months in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release by U.S. District Court Judge Charles Kornmann.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office reported September 9th of last year 2025, in McLaughlin, a Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer pulled Crow Ghost over because she was driving a vehicle reported stolen. The officer handcuffed Crow Ghost and placed her in the back seat of his squad car. Crow Ghost became upset and spat on the officer.

A federal grand jury indicted her in December, 2025. Crow Ghost pleaded guilty on January 28th of this year and was sentenced June 8th.
