Mitchell Area Development Corporation Regional Workforce is launching a new event to help local businesses fill open positions.
The first Workforce Wednesday Hiring Event is set for December 7th at participating Mitchell businesses.
Workforce Coordinator Karen Whitney says Toshiba, Edgewood, Trail King, Culver’s Abbott House, Performance Pet and County Fair are opening their doors to all job seekers from 2:00 pm-4:30 pm.
“You can bring a resume there, fill out an application, learn about the job openings they have at the company,” said Whitney. “You can take a tour, maybe have an interview, and maybe get an offer for a job.”
The Workforce Wednesday Hiring Event is scheduled for the first Wednesday of the month. It’s based on similar successful hiring events in Yankton, Sioux Falls and Watertown.
