Mitchell, S.D. – Ady Dwight of Dakota Wesleyan volleyball has been named to the AVCA All-Region First Team for the fourth straight year.
Each of the 10 regions named 14 student-athletes to the All-Region team, and eight players earned honorable mention honors.
Each region also selected four “of the year” award winners. Dwight is coming off another stellar season that earned her GPAC Attacker-of-the-Year, GPAC First Team All-Conference, three-time GPAC Attacker-of-the-Week and was also NAIA Attacker-of-the-Week.
Ady Dwight – Middle Blocker – Langford, S.D.
Played in all 34 matches for the Tigers as a middle blocker and was named the GPAC Attacker-of-the-year while also earning GPAC First Team honors. On top of those honors Dwight for the fourth straight season was named to the AVCA All-Region First Team. The dominance for Dwight continued in her senior year racking up a staggering 556 kills to go with a career best .345 attack percentage while compiling 97 total blocks. Dwight during the season moved into second all-time in kills at 1,841. Ady was named GPAC Attacker-of-the-week three times during weeks three, six, and ten. Dwight finished the regular season ranked first in the GPAC and NAIA in kills. She was credited with career highs in digs as well with 44 and aces with her 10. Dwight set a new career-high with 29 kills vs. Dakota State (10/3/23) which is the most since at least 2012. Ady had at least 10 kills in 31 of the 34 matches on the season while having 15+ kills in 21 matches. Dwight had a season-high seven total blocks at No. 10 Midland (10/6/23).
