Six individuals from the Mitchell Post 18 Legion baseball team ,who are facing rape charges, have been assigned an arraignment date.
The suspects, ages 17, 18, and 19, are slated to appear in court on October 3rd, as indicated by recent online filings.
All six defendants are released on bond. Among them, Hudson Haley and Landon Waddell, who are confronted with the most charges, had to secure their release with $7,000 in cash each.
Court documents reveal that both Haley and Waddell are accused of assaulting two different victims.
The remaining suspects were required to pay $5,000 each in cash for their release.
The alleged incidents occurred earlier this year in Pennington County, while Mitchell’s varsity legion team was away for a tournament.
Authorities note that there are juveniles involved in the investigation, but specific details regarding their cases have not been disclosed.
