Class A State Volleyball Tournament – Friday, November 21 in Rapid City

No. 4 Clark/Willow Lake 3, No. 8 Wagner 0, (25-23, 28-26, 25-16)

The Cyclones (26-2) finished with 40 kills, led by Shelby Begeman’s 14 kills and Kelsey Hofer’s 11. Begeman also added three solo blocks and two block assists for a match-high 19 points. Setter Zoe Nichols paced the attack with 28 assists. Clark/Willow Lake’s frontline controlled the match with nine team blocks, outscoring Wagner at the net throughout all three sets. Wagner (24-9) totaled 31 kills, including 11 from Ravyn Medricky and eight from Hannah Holzbauer, but the Red Raiders couldn’t overcome the Cyclones’ blocking and late-set execution.

STM (30-10) featured a balanced attack with Leighton Scherr’s 13 kills, Kesley Benda’s 11, and Lauren Poeppel’s eight, while setter Enna Henry distributed 35 assists. The Cavaliers also totaled nine team blocks, led by Violet Grimshaw and Madison Boyum. Rapid City Christian (29-13) was led by Chloe Weber’s 16 kills, with Faith King adding 12 and Maddie Altstiel 8. Setter Paisley Griffith contributed 22 assists and three aces.

Dakota Valley (33-3) showcased a balanced, efficient attack led by Claire Munch’s 18 kills, Samantha Kimbell’s seven kills and seven aces, and Skylar Anderson’s five kills. Setter Madie Munch ran the offense with 32 assists, while the Panthers added 11 aces and four team blocks. Hamlin (22-5) was paced by Addison Neuendorf’s 11 kills and Addelyn Jensen’s seven.
