Gavin Soukup with a game-high 22 points for Mitchell. Markus Talley with 21 points. Colton Smith with 9 points and 14 rebounds in 16 minutes. 16 wins in a row for the Kernels is the longest winning streak since 1986.

Josh Olthoff with 20 points and seven rebounds for Brandon Valley. Heyden Anderson added 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Lynx were 17-of-29 from the foul line.

Kernels win their first state title since 2005, the 17th in school history and the 8th in Class AA. Gavin Soukup, Markus Talley and Colton Smith named to the All-Tournament team. Soukup with a game-high 16 points. Welcome home at the Corn Palace is at 1 pm on Sunday.
