Dakota Wesleyan Football Lands Ninth in Preseason GPAC Poll

SIOUX CITY, IA – The Dakota Wesleyan football team was picked to finish ninth in the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Coaches Preseason Poll, the GPAC announced this morning.

Dakota Wesleyan received 32 points after finishing 4-7 last year under Coach Kretzschmar in his first year at the helm.

Morningside has been picked to take the crown with 99 votes, while Northwestern follows suit with 89 votes.

DWU will open its 11-game season at home against Dakota State on August 30th at 7:00 PM at Joe Quintal Field for the Traveling Chamber of Commerce Trophy. The Tigers will be at Joe Quintal six times this year with homecoming to be set for October 25th vs. Waldorf.
