Dave Brooks has been hired as the Head Girls Basketball Coach for the Mitchell School District.
Coach Brooks has been a member of the girls basketball staff for the past five seasons.
“Coach Brooks has been an integral part of the girls basketball program with a proven willingness to serve in multiple roles during his five years on staff, said Mitchell Activities Director Cory Aadland.
“He is a well-respected coach within both the program and our entire athletic department, made evident by him being awarded the Mitchell High School Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. Coach Brooks brings a passion and continuity that make him a great choice to be our next Head Girls Basketball Coach.”
Brooks takes over for Cole Knippling, who resigned after serving as head coach for the past three years. Knippling accepted a position as the 6-12 Principal in Parkston.
