
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Tigers women’s golf team hosted the DWU Spring Invite on Monday and Tuesday at Lakeview Municipal golf course. The golfers who represented the Tigers, as a team, were Allison Meyerink, Ashton Austreim, Sara Sudenga, Kaylee Johnson, Kelsey Morrison, and Dakotah Larson. Kelsey Morrison competed individually.
Team Highlights:

Allison Meyerink (Fr.) led the way for the Tigers. She tied for 2nd overall. On day one of the spring invite Meyerink scored an 84, but on day two she found a way to drop her score and finish with a 77. Totaling her with a combined score of 161.

Ashton Austreim (Jr.) followed closely behind with a total score of 183. She was consistent throughout her play as on day one she scored an 82 and on day two she scored an 81. She tied for 7th overall.

Sara Sudenga (So.) was the third Tiger to finish. She also tied for 7th at the home meet. Her combined total was 163, scoring 84 after day one and 79 on day two.

Kaylee Johnson (Sr.) had a solid first day with a score of 83. On day two she held out and finished with a score of 87. She finished with a 14th place finish and a combined total of 170.

Dakotah Larson (Fr.) rounded out the Tigers by tying at 28th. She scored a 91 on day one and a 93 on day two. Finishing with a total of 184.
Individual Highlights:

Kelsey Morrison (Jr.) returned to action this week. She scored an 84 on day one and an 88 on day two, total of 172. She finished the meet by tying 16th place
Tigers Look Ahead:
As a team the Tigers finished with the 1st place win, they found their swing on day two as the group finished out strong to close out the competition.
The women’s golf team plans to compete next at the Kaitlyn Erickson Doane Invite. The invite will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska. The Tigers will be at the Wilderness Ridge golf course and Pioneers golf course for 36 holes.
