Cairo, Neb. – The Dakota Wesleyan University (DWU) women’s golf team turned in a strong performance on day one of the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championships, finishing the 36-hole round, out of 54. The women’s team is currently tied with Doane for 1st place with a team score of +68. Dakota Wesleyan shot a round of 315 on the first 18 holes, with a 329 on the second round for their score of 644.
- Allison Meyerink (Fr.) is leading the way for the Tigers. Meyerink is sitting in 1st place individually with a score of +11. Meyerink looks to finish off the championship tournament at the top of the conference.
- Ashton Austreim (Jr.) is also in the top-ten for the GPAC leaderboards. The third year is sitting in 9th and has a score of +17.
- Kaylee Johnson (Sr.) is close behind as she is tied for 12th after day one. Her scorecard currently reads +19 after the first two rounds.
- Sara Sudenga (So.) started to climb up the leaderboard on day one. To finish off the day she climbed up 10 spots that puts her in a three-way tie for 17th. She has a score of +22 to end her first day of 36-holes.
- Dakotah Larson (Fr.) is in a seven-way tie for 13th. She has a score of XX to finish off day one and starts to prep for day two.
- Kelsey Morrison (Jr.) and Dakotah Larson (Fr.) are tied in 58th. Morrison’s round two score of +12 was used in place of Larson’s. Larson’s round one score will be counted, that score was +12.
Play resumes on Tuesday with split-tees for the final 18 holes.
