Four Tigers Earn All-GPAC Honors, Led by Yost and Rosenquist

MITCHELL, S.D. – Four Tigers have earned All-GPAC recognition as voted on by the conference coaches, with Emma Yost and Rylee Rosenquist leading the way as First-Team selections. Avery Broughton was named to the Second Team, while Shalayne Nagel received Honorable Mention honors.

Rylee Rosenquist (North Sioux City, S.D., Jr., Business) – First Team 
Rosenquist continued her stellar career, earning her fourth All-Conference selection. The junior from North Sioux City averaged 13.6 points per game, shooting an efficient 52.8% from the field and 81.6% from the free-throw line. She delivered multiple standout performances, including a season-high 26 points against Briar Cliff (Iowa) on February 5. She also matched her season-best 13 rebounds three times, most recently against Dordt (Iowa). This season, Rosenquist reached a career milestone, becoming the 31st player in program history to join the 1,000-point club.

Emma Yost (Wagner, S.D., So., Nursing) – First Team
Yost posted career-best numbers in all major statistical categories, averaging 15.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game while shooting 81% from the free-throw line. The sophomore from Wagner secured her third career All-GPAC honor after previously being named Freshman of the Year and a GPAC First-Team selection. She scored a season-high 25 points against Waldorf on February 19 and pulled down a season-best 11 rebounds against Dakota State on November 6.

Avery Broughton (Corsica, S.D., So., Nursing) – Second Team
Broughton made her mark with a strong sophomore season, earning All-GPAC Second Team honors. She averaged 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, highlighted by a season-high performance against Doane on January 26. Her defensive efforts also earned her GPAC Defensive Player of the Week honors on January 21.

Shalayne Nagel (Springfield, S.D., So., Elementary Education) – Honorable Mention 
Nagel had an impactful sophomore season, contributing 8.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. She notched a season-high 19 points against the College of Saint Mary on January 5 and recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds against Mount Marty.

Macy Sievers of Dordt University was named GPAC Player of the Year, while her teammate Janie Van Donge received Defensive Player of the Year honors. McKenna Yates of Hastings was selected as GPAC Freshman of the Year, and Hastings head coach Jina Douglas was awarded Coach of the Year.
