Huron’s Tiger Stadium to reopen Monday after July storm damage

HURON, S.D. — Activities will resume Monday at Huron’s Tiger Stadium following repairs related to damage from the July storm.

Huron School District officials say the stadium turf has been repaired and the damaged light poles have been removed. The stadium will remain without lighting, but it will be open for activities until the lighting system can be restored.

Huron Tigers Athletic Director Scott DeBoer thanked students, staff and families for their patience and adaptability during the extended closure.

Activities at Tiger Stadium were suspended following the July storm, which damaged the field and lighting structures.
