BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State volleyball team will play in the NCAA Tournament this week.
The Jackrabbits earned an at-large big to the tournament and will take on No. 8 seed Miami Friday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Central at the Devaney Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. The 64-team field was announced Sunday evening by the NCAA.
SDSU’s opening round opponent, Miami, enters the tournament with a 21-10 overall record and earned an at-large big out of the ACC. Host Nebraska, one of four No. 1 seeds, will take on Florida A&M at 7 p.m. Friday night. The winners of those matches will meet Saturday.
South Dakota State won the Summit League regular season title with a 15-1 record and fell in five sets in the title game of the Summit League Tournament Tuesday night. The Jacks are set to make their second NCAA Tournament appearance in the Division I era and first since 2007.
