White River’s Joe Sayler has been named the Class B Player of the Year after averaging a state best 30.8 points this season as a senior.
Sayler wrapped up his career with 2,702 career points, the fifth most in South Dakota boys basketball history.
Damon Wilkinson of DeSmet was also a first team selection after leading the Bulldogs to a third straight State B championship earlier this month. Wilkinson averaged 22 points and a state best 13 rebounds per game.
Bridgewater-Emery’s Sutton Arend earned All-State honors, averaging 22 points and nine rebounds this past season as a senior.
Tage Ortman of Canistota was a third team selection as a junior, averaging 18.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game.
Ethan’s Riley Endres was also named to the third team after leading the Rustler to the state tournament for the first time since 2014. Endres averaged 15.2 points and 7 rebounds per game as a senior.
