The two athletes have now qualified for the NAIA National Indoor Track Championships.
Caleb Sayler ran a strong race in the 5000m as he finished in third place. Freshman Caley Murphy finished in 10th place in her first collegiate indoor race, as she ran the 1-mile. Abby Hasart ran in the 3000m and crossed with her time of 11:45.93.
Coach Rosado’s Thoughts
“A lot of great things happened today in this early part of the season. Hunter ran out of his mind to hit his first standard mark of his career. Abby Magnuson destroyed the school record in the shot-put in her first ever indoor meet capped off some of the key performances. Caley Murphy had a personal best in the mile and both Caleb and Abby had a stronger opener. We have a few weeks before we return with the whole squad. I am very excited for the season ahead of us.”
