Meyerink Claims Second Player of the Year, Three Athletes Named 2025-26 Women’s Golf All-GPAC

SIOUX CITY, Iowa — The Great Plains Athletic Conference has released the 2026 All-Conference teams for Women’s Golf.

Allison Meyerink, the sophomore out of Mitchell, South Dakota, headlined the named DWU athletes as she was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports GPAC Women’s Golf Player of the Year, earning her a First Team All-Conference distinction in the process. Throughout the season, Meyerink was named GPAC Women’s Golfer of the week four times and claimed first-place finishes in six events on the year, including the second individual GPAC Championship of her career. Her best result would be a recorded 207 (-9) at the Northwest Iowa National Invitational Tournament back in September, and she currently sits 80th in the national rankings. The Player of the Year award marks Meyerink’s second of her career, as she claimed it in the previous season as well after winning the 2025 GPAC Women’s Golf Championships as a true freshman. Allison will be traveling to Michigan to compete in the 2026 NAIA Women’s Golf National Championships starting on Tuesday, May 19th.

Sara Sudenga, a junior out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, would also be named First Team All-Conference for the second time in her career after a solid 2025-26 campaign that included a best mark of 151 (+7) at the Mount Marty Invite, earning her fourth place back in September, and claimed second individually in the DWU Spring Invitational. The honor marks Sudenga’s third overall, as she was named Second Team All-GPAC following the 2024-25 season, and wrapped up this year’s campaign ranked 234 nationally.

Dakotah Larson, the sophomore out of Hartford, South Dakota, earned an Honorable Mention nod for her solidified role as the third golfer in the lineup this season, earning top-10 individual finishes at the Mount Marty Invite and DWU Spring Invitational. Her best mark would come at the Mount Marty Invite as well, recording a 156 (+12) in two rounds.
