Mitchell, S.D. – The 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference Men’s Golf postseason honors have been announced, recognizing outstanding individual performances across the season. The All-Conference teams were selected by the league’s coaches, with selections based on cumulative results from the entire 2024-25 campaign.
Dakota Wesleyan University is proud to have three members of its women’s golf team recognized among the best in the GPAC. Allison Meyerink led the way, earning both GPAC Golfer of the Year and Newcomer of the Year honors, marking the first time in program history that an athlete has received both accolades. Additionally, Ashton Austreim and Sara Sudenga earned spots on the Second Team All-GPAC, each delivering strong performances throughout the season.
Allison Meyerink (Fr., Mitchell, S.D., Nursing) – GPAC Golfer of The Year, Newcomer of The Year, First Team
At the GPAC Tournament, Allison Meyerink led the conference in individual play, finishing 1st overall with a total score of 229 (+13). Her strong performance earned her a berth to the NAIA Nationals. The freshman also contributed 9.92 points to Dakota Wesleyan’s team score.
Sara Sudenga (So., Sioux Falls, S.D., Behavioral Science) – Second Team
At the GPAC Tournament, Sudenga began her climb up the leaderboard on day one, making a 10-spot jump to finish in a three-way tie for 17th with a score of +22 after the first 36 holes. On day two, Sudenga continued her upward momentum, moving up five more spots to finish tied for 12th with a total score of 244 (+28). Her performance earned 2.84 points for the Tigers.
Ashton Austreim (Jr., Brookings, S.D., Business Administration) – Second Team
At the GPAC Tournament, Austreim finished in the top 20, tying for 12th place alongside her teammate Sudenga. Austreim recorded a total score of 244 (+28) and contributed 2.84 points to the Tigers’ overall total.
