A Sioux Falls Lincoln walkoff win in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Patriots a 6-5 win on Tuesday night vs. Mitchell.
Kasen Christiansen’s single to center field scored Owen Lechtenberg from third for the game winning run to break a 5-5 tie.
Mitchell scored a run in the top of the sixth inning to tie the game on a SF Lincoln error off the bat of Jaxson Hartman that allowed Hudson Borgan to score.
Each team scored a run in their half of the first inning before the Patriots took a 5-1 lead with four runs in the bottom of the second.
Mitchell would answer with three runs in the top of the fourth inning on run scoring hits from Hartman Lincoln Bottum and Mason Herman.
Bottum threw 5+ inning for Mitchell getting the loss despite allowing just two unearned runs on six hits with five strikeouts.
Both teams committed four errors on the night.
