RAPID CITY, S.D. – Mitchell Kernels boys golf wrapped up its 2025 season on Tuesday with a seventh place finish at the Class AA State Tournament at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City.
The Kernels fell one spot on day two after being tied for sixth on Monday. Mitchell shot +48 for the tournament, one shot behind Yankton for sixth place.
Mitchell’s Asher Dannenbring finished in a tie for 15th overall with back-to-back rounds of 76 to finish +8, just one shot behind ninth place.
Carter McCormick (T28) and Dawson Adams (T43) also shot 76 on Tuesday, while Jordan Meyerink (T43) finished with a 77.
Harrisburg won the team title with a score of +14 to edge out O’Gorman by six shots.
Taten Mauney of O’Gorman cleared the field by five shots, finishing at -2 (142) for the tournament to win individual honors.
