Mitchell Kernels boys golf took home a third place finish at the Pierre Invitational on Tuesday at Hillsview Golf Club.
The Kernels shot 301 (+13) as a team. Watertown placed first with a 284 (-3), while Pierre finished second with a 291 (+3).
Noah Larson and Jager Juracek both finished with a 74 (+2) in a tie for seventh. Carter McCormick was just two shots behind with a 74, while freshman Asher Dannenbring shot a 75 (+5).
Watertown’s Jake Olson placed first individually with a bogey free round of 66 (-6), four shots better than Nick Bothun of Pierre.
Mitchell travels to the Huron Invitational on Friday at 10 am at Broadland Creek Golf Course.
