Mitchell Kernels gymnastics finished in second place at the Class AA state meet in Watertown on Friday with a team score of 148.633.
Harrisburg won the team title with 152.983 team points. It’s the first state championship in gymnastics for the Tigers after Mitchell won last season, three of the last four and seven of the past 10.
Individually, Bentley Bates won the uneven bars at 9.733, while also finishing third in the beam with a score of 9.683 and third in floor at 9.766
Olivia Prunty took home fourth place in vault at 9.416 and Keyana Kelley finished fifth in the beam at 9.156.
The Class AA individual gymnastic meet wraps up the season on Saturday in Watertown.
