Mitchell’s soon-to-be senior point guard Markus Talley has announced his commitment to Augustana University in Sioux Falls.
Talley led the Kernels to their first state championship in 19 years this past March, ending the season with a 23-1 record and a Class AA first-team all-state selection.
He averaged 17.3 ppg, 6.2 rpg and 4.1 apg will being named to the All-ESD and AA All-Tournament teams.
Talley will return next season as a senior for Mitchell, in pursuit of back-to-back state championships.
