Schetnan Takes Home 4th Summit League Weekly Accolade

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State middle blocker Sydni Schetnan was named the Summit League Volleyball Defensive Peak Performers of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday.

Schetnan, who earned her fourth weekly award of the season, totaled 20 kills, 15 blocks, and a .348 hitting percentage as the Jackrabbits went 2-0 during the fourth week of conference play.

The Sioux Falls, S.D. native recorded back-to-back matches with at least seven total blocks. Schetnan garnered seven total blocks with four solo blocks, five kills, and was responsible for 10.5 points in a three-set victory over North Dakota State.

The Jackrabbit redshirt junior then registered 15 kills, eight total blocks, and a .433 hitting percentage in a four-set victory over St. Thomas, which continued the Jackrabbits undefeated streak, as they remained the only unbeaten team in Division I volleyball with an 18-0 record.
