SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Summit League announced today that the 2023 Women’s Soccer Championship between No. 2 South Dakota State and No. 4 Omaha will be played at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5, in Brookings at Fishback Soccer Park.
The Jackrabbits and Mavericks vie for the 2023 title and serve as the conference’s last two champions. SDSU won The Summit League crown in 2021 while Omaha is the reigning tournament champs.
SDSU earned the right to host the conference championship game with a 5-2 semifinal victory over Oral Roberts in Brookings this past Sunday. Omaha tied the top seed Denver, 2-2, in the Mile High City and advanced to the title matchup by beating the Pioneers in a shootout by a 3-2 score that evening.
