SDSU Women’s Sprint Medley Breaks School Record

DES MOINES, IOWA — South Dakota State’s women’s sprint medley relay team posted a new program record at the Drake Relays Saturday afternoon.

Erika KuntzGrace ErickStory Rasby and Reese Luze broke the SDSU sprint medley relay  record with a time of 5:56.12 to finish sixth at the Blue Oval. The previous record was set by current Jackrabbits Ellie HarrisSian O’Sullivan and Lindsey Rotz, alongside the now-graduated Cerington Jones, with a time of 3:58.55 at last year’s Drake Relays.

Kuntz, Luze and Rasby, alongside lead-off Jenna Johnson, posted a fourth-place finish in the 4X400-meter relay with a time of 3:44.75. 

In individual events, Josie Curry finished sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 182-3 (55.56m).
