SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State center Oscar Cluff claimed his second Summit League Men’s Basketball Peak Performer of the Week honor of the season, League officials announced Monday. Cluff closed out the final two games of the Cayman Islands Classic with back-to-back double-doubles to give him six through eight games this season.
Cluff had 19 points and equaled his season-high with 14 rebounds in an 83-82 loss to Boise State. He went 6-for-9 from the field and had a block and an assist against the Broncos.
The 6-foot-10 graduate student then posted his third 20-plus point scoring game of the season in a 75-55 win over Missouri State. He finished the third-place clash against the Bears with 20 points, 12 rebounds and equaled his season-high with five assists.
In his final two games in the Caribbean, Cluff shot 70 percent from the field (14-for-20) and 77 percent from the foul stripe (10-for-13).
