SF Jefferson is the preseason number after finishing seventh last season at the state tournament in its inaugural season as they return a pair of second-team All-State members from last season in Taylen Ashley and Kaden Year.
Defending state champ, Roosevelt, finished last season with a perfect 24-0 record and missed out on the preseason top five. The Rough Riders capped off an undefeated season with a 54-52 win in the title game over O’Gorman.

Dakota Valley is a unanimous preseason number one in Class A after winning the state title last season as the number one seed. The Panthers defeated Sioux Valley, preseason number two, in the 2022 title game 82-65. DV will have to replace last season’s Class A Player of the Year Isaac Bruns, but return first-team All -Stater Randy Rosenquist.

The 2022 Class B Champion De Smet Bulldogs find themselves just behind White River in the preseason poll after being led by Class B Player of the Year Kelen Garry. De Smet returns Second Team All-State selection Damon Wilkinson.
Joe Sayler leads the way for White River as he averaged 29.1 points and 6 rebounds last season as a junior.
