USD Women Return Home vs. Loyola Marymount

VERMILLION, S.D. – The Coyotes return from a trip to Colorado to host LMU Wednesday night inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

South Dakota (0-2) and LMU (1-1) are set for a 6 p.m. start in the SCSC. It is Carrie’s Coyotes Night and Military Appreciation Night.

The game will be broadcasted live on the Summit League Network powered by Midco Sports Plus. Fans can also listen live to the voice of Coyote women’s basketball, Jerry Palleschi, on KVHT 106.3 FM or the Varsity Network.

LAST TIME OUT
• The Coyotes made their first road trip of the season for game two, falling at Air Force, 73-66, Friday.
• The game was a tale of two halves as USD led by 18 in the first half and Air Force led by 13 in the second half.
 Grace Larkins led the Coyotes with 15 points and nine rebounds.
 Addison Klosterbuer made her first start as a Coyote Friday and totaled a career-high four steals in a career-high 25 minutes.

INSIDE THE LMU SERIES
• The Coyotes and Lions meet for the third time in series history.
• The Coyotes won the two previous meetings against LMU, including a 78-73 overtime win last season.
• Three Coyotes scored in double figures in that game: Grace Larkins (25 points), Alexi Hempe (12), and Tori DePerry (10).
• The first meeting between the two programs was in Puerto Rico during the 2018-19 season. USD earned a 67-40 win to improve to 12-1.

SEEING DOUBLE
• Through two games, Grace Larkins is averaging a double-double and has 15 career double-doubles.
• Larkins recorded a 27-point, 13-rebound performance in the season opener.
• Entering Wednesday, she is averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds per game.
• She has tallied six assists in each game this season after averaging just under five per game last season.

FAMILIAR FOES
• Wednesday marks the first of five non-conference rematches from a season ago.
• The Coyotes went 4-1 against the five non-conference foes they will see for a second straight season.
• The Coyotes played at LMU last season, recording a 78-73 overtime win on Dec. 3, 2023.
• The other four teams the Coyotes see again this season are Northern Arizona (Dec. 7), Northern Iowa (Dec. 10), Wyoming (Dec. 15) and Mount Marty (Dec. 18).

YOTES VS. THE WEST COAST CONFERENCE
• Since becoming a Division I member, the Coyotes have played 8 games against five different West Coast Conference members.
• USD is 5-3 against the conference.
• The Coyotes are undefeated against two WCC foes: LMU (2-0) and UC San Diego (1-0).
