MITCHELL KERNELS
— Mitchell Kernels boys basketball had its 10 game winning streak end on Tuesday with a 42-36 loss at No. 4 Brandon Valley. The Kernels had a 17-4 lead after the first quarter and had a seven-point halftime lead, but scored only 19 points in the final three quarters for a season low in points. Landon Dulaney had a game-high 11 points for the Lynx, while Markus Talley finished with 10 points for Mitchell. Talley was 3-of-14 shooting from the field, while Colton Smith was 4-of-13 for nine points. The Kernels shot 32% for the game had turned the ball over 20 points. Mitchell hosts No. 5 O’Gorman on Friday for Senior Night at 7:30 pm in the regular season finale.
— Mitchell Kernels girls basketball lost its third game in a row with a 60-34 loss at No. 2 Brandon Valley on Tuesday for its largest margin of defeat of the season. Alyvia Padgett had 24 points for the Lynx, while Carsyn Weich was the only Mitchell player in double figures with 10 points. The Kernels led 13-7 at the end of the first quarter, but scored just 14 points in the second half and just four points in the fourth quarter. Mitchell hosts No. 1 O’Gorman on Friday for Senior Night at 6 pm.
— Mitchell Marlins boys hockey (11-9) end the regular season on Saturday vs. Aberdeen at 6 pm.
DAKOTA WESLEYAN
— Dakota Wesleyan women’s basketball host Doane on Wednesday at 7 pm at the Corn Palace after finishing the regular season as the No. 2 seed in the GPAC with an 18-4 conference record and 23-5 overall. The Tigers lost at Doane early in the season on Nov. 16, 77-61. DWU won at the Corn Palace on Jan. 26, 66-55.
— Dakota Wesleyan men’s basketball will be the No. 5 seed in the GPAC Tournament and will be at No. 4 Morningside on Wednesday at 7 pm. The Tigers defeated Morningside at the Corn Palace on Feb. 12, 99-90. Morningside won on their home court back on Jan. 15, 79-72.
— Dakota Wesleyan softball, 11-3 on the season, travels to Arizona this week for 10 straight games starting on Wednesday with a doubleheader against Benedictine Mesa (Arizona).
— Dakota Wesleyan baseball, 0-8 on the season, host Northern State on Sunday for a doubleheader at Noon at Drake Field.
SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
— South Dakota State men’s basketball is at Oral Roberts on Thursday at 7 pm. SDSU is tied with St. Thomas for second place in the Summit League at 10-4 with two games left in the regular season.
— No. 24 South Dakota State women’s basketball returns home vs. Denver on Thursday at 7 pm. The Jackrabbits have clinched the No. 1 seed for the Summit League Tournament in Sioux Falls currently sitting at 14-0 in the conference. Denver is 1-13 and in last place.
— South Dakota State baseball, 0-4 on the season, will be at Sacramento State for four games this week, Wednesday through Saturday.
— South Dakota State softball, 5-8 on the season, lost its seventh straight game on Tuesday at Tulsa 9-3. SDSU travels to Wichita, Kansas, for the Shocker Invitational for five games, starting with No. 12 Oklahoma State on Thursday at 2:30 pm. The Jacks lost to Oklahoma State on Sunday 5-2 in Arkansas.
SOUTH DAKOTA
— USD men’s basketball will be at North Dakota State on Wednesday at 7 pm.
— USD women’s basketball ends the regular season on Saturday vs. Denver at 1 pm.
— USD softball, 9-5 on the season, travels to Hampton, Virginia this weekend for five games. The Coyotes take on Hampton for a doubleheader on Friday at 11 am.

— Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta considers the mounting allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior against kicker Justin Tucker “serious” and “concerning.” He said Tuesday the team will let the NFL’s investigation play out before determining how to proceed. The Baltimore Banner reported that 16 massage therapists in the Baltimore area have accused Tucker of inappropriate behavior. DeCosta says he has met with Tucker but declined to provide specifics of the conversation. The Ravens have instituted a zero-tolerance policy but DeCosta says the team will apply that policy on a case-by-case basis.
— The Cincinnati Bengals plan to make All-Pro wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL. Coach Zac Taylor added the team also wants to extend WR Tee Higgins’ contract. Chase led the league in receptions (127), yards receiving (1,708) and touchdown catches (17) this past season, becoming just the sixth wide receiver in the Super Bowl era to achieve the receiving triple crown. The Bengals picked up his fifth-year option of $21.8 million, but will give him a long-term deal in the range of $40 million per year.

— Luka Doncic had 19 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists in his first game against the Mavericks since they traded him to the Lakers, leading Los Angeles to a 107-99 victory over Dallas.
— Steph Curry and Draymond Green scored 15 points each as the Golden State Warriors won their 3,000th game in franchise history with a 128-92 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Only four other NBA teams, the Lakers, Celtics, Knicks and 76ers, have reached the milestone.
— Ja Morant had 29 points and eight assists as the Memphis Grizzlies closed the extra period with a 7-0 run to beat the Phoenix Suns 151-148.
— Ty Jerome scored 20 points in 21 minutes as the Cleveland Cavaliers routed the Orlando Magic 122-82 for their eighth consecutive win. Cleveland shot 56% overall while improving to an NBA-best 48-10. They were 19-of-32 from three.
— Jaylen Brown scored 24 points and Derrick White had 22 as the Boston Celtics extended their winning streak to six games by beating the Toronto Raptors 111-101.
— Jalen Green had 25 points and Alperen Sengun added 23 to lead the Houston Rockets to a 100-97 win over the Milwaukee Bucks in a game where Amen Thompson was ejected for a hard foul on Giannis Antetokounmpo. Antetokounmpo had 27 points and 10 rebounds
— Trey Murphy III scored 24 points and Zion Williamson added 18 as the New Orleans Pelicans completed a two-game home game sweep of the San Antonio Spurs, 109-103. The Pelicans overcame a 19-point hole in the first half despite shooting 7 of 31 from 3-point range for the game.
