Wessington Springs with a Nine Shot Lead at the Class B Boys State Golf Tournament

Wessington Springs holds a nine shot lead after the first day of the Class B boys state golf tournament at Brookings Country Club.

The Spartans shot a +21, (237) to hold a nine shot lead over Hamlin and Hanson. Individually, Blake Larson of Wessington Springs has a one shot lead over the field after a first round +2, (74).

Rylan Gerlach of Ethan is sixth overall with a +5, (77), while Wessington Springs’s Brock Krueger is tied for 12th after shooting a +8 (80).

A.J. Wiler leads Hanson with a +9 (81), which is tied for 18th.

The second and final day of the state tournament wraps up on Tuesday.
