U.S. ethanol exports hit an all-time high in 2018. According to data from the USDA, Census Bureau, and Commerce Department, ethanol exports were 1.705 billion gallons, up about 25% from the previous record set in 2017. The Renewable Fuels Association says that 1.7 billion gallons represents almost 11% of total domestic production.
The value of sales was $2.7 billion, also a new all-time high, and up 14% from the previous year.
Shipments during December were 139.8 million gallons.
