SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Mitchell’s Asher Dannenbring grabbed the individual lead Monday after the opening round of the two-day Warrior-Lynx Invite at the Brandon Golf Course.
Dannenbring carded a 1-under 70, making him the only golfer in the field to finish the first round under par. He recorded four birdies, including four of his first seven holes, to take a one-stroke lead into Tuesday’s final round.
Trevor Rick of Sioux Falls Jefferson is second at even-par 71, while Sioux Falls Lincoln’s Braxton Hollan is third at 1-over 72.
Dannenbring will look to hold onto the lead when play resumes Tuesday at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls at 2 pm.
Mitchell’s other golfers were led by Eli Konrad, who shot an 88 and is tied for 78th. Parker Rauscher carded a 93 to place 94th, followed by Jordan Meyerink at 95 in 97th and Mason Moody at 97 in 100th. Dayton Adams shot 100 and is tied for 103rd.
The Warrior-Lynx Invite concludes Tuesday.
