52% of Missouri corn planted

Missouri corn as of Sunday is just 52% planted and well below a year ago. Corn emergence is 31 percent. Soybeans planted reached five-percent, 34 percentage points behind last year, according to the Missouri office of USDA NASS.

Twenty-two percent of cotton
is planted and rice reached 54 percent.

Winter wheat headed was 51
percent, a bit behind last year. Winter wheat condition was rated 85 percent
fair to good.

Missouri had over one-and-half
inches of rain statewide, on average, last week.
