U.S. Senators John Thune of South Dakota and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota have reintroduced their bipartisan bill that would require the EPA to update its greenhouse gas modeling for ethanol and biodiesel.
The so-called “GREET” bill would make the EPA adopt the Argonne National lab’s model (Greenhouse Gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy Use in Transportation) for both fuels and update it every five years OR report to Congress an assessment of the tool.
