African Swine Fever footprint expands

The number of cases of African Swine Fever in China, Asia, and Europe is growing.

The Pork Checkoff says ASF has now spread to all provinces of China after the island province of Hainan was confirmed to have the disease last week. 

Rabobank estimates 150 to 200
million pigs in China have been affected by ASF, which is almost 30 percent
more than annual U.S. pork production and Europe’s annual supply.
