Many farmers facing higher input costs are considering nitrogen management options.
DEKALB Asgrow Technical Agronomist Jordan Arndell is encouraging growers to consider split applications of nitrogen fertilizer.
“Spitting up that nitrogen application would be an excellent practice this year,” he says. “I think that crop would have a better chance to utilize that nitrogen when we do a split application more so if we put some nitrogen in the ground around planting and then come back and side-dress them.
